Simone Giampaolo is a London-based Swiss director known for crafting emotional narratives and humorous characters. Since graduating with distinction from the National Centre for Computer Animation in 2013, he has written and directed over ten award-winning short films, including the Oscar®-shortlisted and BAFTA-nominated "Only a Child". His versatile portfolio features collaborations with global brands like Netflix, Disney, LEGO, Marvel, and the BBC, as well as top-tier studios such as Aardman and Blue Zoo. Alongside his creative work, Simone serves on the board of London ACM Siggraph, acts as a trustee for the Swiss Cultural Fund UK, and frequently mentors aspiring animators worldwide. Fresh off directing Netflix’s hit series "Bad Dinosaurs" and Milkshake!’s "Stan & Gran", he is now attached to direct his debut animated feature film, "Merry Christmas, Earthlings!".
